Sivota is not well known among bikers, but the area offers good and varied biking options. A rich selection of great biking trails is available among undulating hills and green valleys, with alternatives for road riding, MTB (hardtail) and gravel riding. A gravel bike is essentially a road bike with slightly tougher tires as a standard. You get the best of both worlds: you can ride fast along tracks and gravel roads as well as challenging yourself with more advanced terrain. Join a guided bike tour, drop by the bike centre and fix your bike, pump the tires, and grab a coffee before you take off on a ride.
There are bikes for rent and we offer guided bike tours free of charge (social rides). Bring your own shoes and pedals. We have SPD and flat pedals, but it’s always nice to use one’s own gear. Helmets are compulsory and included in the bike rental.
If you are a cyclist, you can easily bring your own bike. Pre-book your bike with the airline, and don’t forget to also pre-book a bike transfer on your reservation for the bus transfer to the hotel. Pack your bike in a bike travel bag, or in dedicated cardboard box from your bike dealer.
There is an age limit of 16 years for the guided bike tours.
